Khumbila Koseli was born from a simple, shared dream between a sister and brother — Avi, based in Melbourne, Australia, and her brother, based in Nepal. Across oceans and time zones, we’re united by more than just family. We’re connected by a deep love for beautiful things made with care, a passion for supporting local artisans, and a desire to share the quiet elegance of Nepali craftsmanship with the world.
Our story began with scarves — soft, versatile, and soulful pieces that have always been part of everyday life in Nepal. From the warm pashminas worn in mountain villages to the delicate wraps gifted during special occasions, scarves hold meaning, memory, and tradition. We wanted to share that feeling — of warmth, of giving, of cultural connection — with people everywhere.
While Avi carefully curates and shares each piece from her home in Melbourne, her brother is the heart on the ground in Nepal — visiting local workshops, building trusted relationships with makers, and ensuring each product reflects the love and skill that went into it. Together, we handpick scarves in different fabrics, colors, and textures — from classic wool to breathable cotton — always with intention and soul.

“Khumbila” is a sacred mountain in Nepal, revered by the Sherpa people and never climbed — a symbol of respect, spiritual presence, and strength.
